A couple of people wanted to know my travel stats for 2015. Here they are:
Miles Flown: 39,757
Flights taken: 27
Airport Visited the Most (Outside of SeaTac) : ATL, BWI (3 each)
Airline Flown the most: Alaska (16 segments)
Number of times Upgraded : 8 (7 on Alaska, 1 on Delta)
Airports Visited: 11
Redeemable miles earned: 108146 (97478 on Alaska, 9,968 on American, 700 on United)
Status Earned: 3 ( Alaska MVP, Hilton HHonors Silver, IHG Gold Elite)
Nights spent in Hotels: 20 (10 IHG, 7 Hilton, 2 other, 1 Wyndham)
Out of all the stats, I think there are two that are most surprising even to me. The first is I stayed the most nights in IHG branded hotels even though I prefer Hilton. The other is that I was upgraded 44% of the time on Alaska. This is surprising because I’m only MVP, the lowest status level on Alaska. I was contemplating changing where I credit flights from Alaska to American, but with the changes American announced and the number of times I’ve been upgraded, I’ve decided to stick with Alaska for another year.
